Introduction to Meditation

This workshop is designed as an introduction to the basics of meditation and its application to everyday life.
Participants will be able to explore various techniques, with a focus on various mindfulness-based meditations.
Mindfulness is the energy of being aware and awake to the present moment, as it is unfolding right now.
It is a way of bringing our body and mind into harmony, and touching life deeply in each moment.
Whether we are sitting, eating, walking or working, we can do so while maintaining a deep level of awareness.
Our session will begin with a 30 minute yoga set to warm the body, followed by a brief introduction, exploration of various techniques, and conclude with a brief discussion and Q&A session.
Bring your yoga mat, a shawl or sweater, and a meditation cushion if you have one.
